Course Overview
Commercially orientated and directed at 'white collar' fraud and other criminal or disciplinary actions by mainly internal employees. It is widely used and respected throughout the financial world giving knowledge and skills about interview law, interview structure, behaviour and planning but most significantly how to use evidence in a structured way to obtain the truth. Real cases are used for interview practice which are debriefed in a supportive manner to ensure skills and confidence are developed in an intensive one-to-one coaching environment.

Suitable for any interviewer or investigator, compliance officers, auditors, bank and insurance inspectors, personnel and HR directors, corporate risk managers and anyone responsible for investigative interviewing where they need to determine the truth. This model is different from police models so is very useful for ex-police officers beginning in the commercial sector with a different style of interview.

- Analysis of law, practice and objectives relating to interviewing

The Venue
SCAN courses for 2010 will be held in central London or Rugby.
Please note SCAN courses are not run as residential courses
All other open courses are held in the Hallmark Hotel and Spa, in Bournemouth.
This recently refurbished hotel has specialised training facilities. It is centrally located with health and fitness
suite, it has 2 in door pools gym and spa suite. All facilities are available to residents.
The Hotel Charges
A room is available at the venue at a preferential rate of £90 for course participants. The hotel rate applies to
overnight accommodation if required.
The rate includes VAT and covers one of the hotel’s standard rooms, plus dinner and a full English breakfast.
This together with the course fee means all meals are included. To take advantage of the rate, reserve the
hotel room through Argent when you book a place on the course.
Booking and Cancellation Conditions
Making a booking implies acceptance of the following conditions: -
- 1. Methods of booking, confirmation, cancellation Etc.
- (a) Only provisional bookings will be accepted by telephone.
- (b) Bookings and cancellations must be in writing or e-mail. Fax will be accepted and, in consequence, will be binding as sent or received
- 2. Payment of Fees
- (a) The full fee is payable with a booking or on confirmation of a provisional booking.
- (b) A provisional booking will be held for 10 working days to give time for the fee and written booking to be received.
- 3. Cancellations
The following policy for the refund of fees will apply when a client cancels a booking and will be calculated from the Sunday before the week in which the course is due to be held- (a) Over 30 working days notice of cancellation - full refund.
- (b) 30 or less working days notice of cancellation - no refund.
